Reed is awarded the Emmy for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series for The Handmaid’s Tale

Reed was named one of Indiewire's 20 Best Breakthrough Directors of 2015

Reed was included on Indiewire's Best Cinematography of 2015 list

Reed was honored at the Fusion Film Festival as their 2015 Woman of the Year

2013

Reed is invited to join the The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences

Reed was invited to become the youngest member of The American Society of Cinematographers (at that time) and is one of only 14 women out of approximately 364 active members. 

Indiewire named Reed as one of their  "Heroines of Cinema: Reed Morano, The Next Big Thing in American Cinematography"

2012

Reed was also honored as one of ICG magazine's "Generation Next" in its January 2012 issue.

2011

Reed was honored with the Kodak Vision Award at the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards

Variety published a brief article about the Women in Film honorees; and Panavision featured a Q&A with Reed on its website which looks back at some of her recent work.
